Insight into Solipac’s 1st trade show event: Experiences and findings

Participating in our first trade show event was an exciting and educational experience that gave us a deep insight into the world of business events and networking. It was crucial to use this opportunity to showcase our brand, reach potential customers and make valuable contacts.

Extensive planning is the key to success

Before we set off for FRUIT LOGISTICA, we invested a lot of time and effort in preparation. We created an appealing exhibition stand that effectively presented our brand and products. In addition, we developed a comprehensive marketing material that included presentation folders (incl. product information sheets), company brochures, business cards, sweets and pens to attract potential customers and arouse their interest. Thorough preparation proved crucial to our success at the trade fair.

Networking: The power of relationships

During the exhibition event, we took every opportunity to network and build relationships. We spoke to other exhibitors, potential customers and industry experts to expand our network and make valuable contacts. Through targeted conversations, we were able to pique the interest of potential customers and explore new business opportunities. We quickly realized the immense power of networking and how it can drive our business forward. The strong interest in our exhibited products enabled us to acquire numerous new contacts.

Live demonstrations: Bringing products to life

One of the most effective strategies we used at the trade fair was live demonstrations of our products. Our portfolio was exhibited with a focus on our own products(clip tape and labels). Through interactive presentations, we were able to capture the interest of trade fair visitors and encourage them to experience our products first-hand. This not only helped us to convince potential customers, but also to demonstrate our specialist knowledge and expertise.

Market analysis and competition monitoring

While presenting our products and talking to visitors, we also took the opportunity to analyze the market and observe the activities of our competitors. We recognized trends and developments in our industry, identified potential opportunities and gained valuable insights that helped us to further refine our business strategy. The trend in the packaging industry is towards weight reduction and alternative materials. It is an exciting time ahead, as there is currently a lot of upheaval and discussion. Nevertheless, all participants agreed that packaging is necessary to protect fruit and vegetables in the long term.

Post-processing and follow-up

After the trade show event, it was important to nurture the contacts we had made and maintain the interest of potential customers. We followed up with thank you emails, offers and further information to strengthen relationships and pursue potential business opportunities. Follow up was critical to maximize the benefit of our participation in the show.

Overall, our first trade show event was an extremely positive experience that provided us with valuable insight and experience. We learned that thorough preparation, effective networking and compelling product presentations are critical to getting the most out of a trade show event. We are confident that this experience will help us to further develop and grow our business and we are already looking forward to future trade fair events.
